My Purple Belt

Wow this has been forever....
Do people even do this anymore?
I figure what better way to update my blog than with my Purple Belt Photos!
I have stuck with it and accomplished more than I thought I could in Tae Kwon Do...
There have been challenges in life and in class that I wasn't sure I would get through.
With determination, a great husband, good friends and strong family anything is possible.
Although the night of the test was one of the hardest nights of my life!!!
It is done though!
And on to red I go!

Well my beautiful friend Erin, has reminded me that this 'webpage' of mine may have few viewers, but that the people want more. I realize that my last post was December or something. And have been meaning to put up so much...my day in the city for my mom's Bday, Dec. 20th. Xmas, New Years, so many good times reaquainted with some good old friends!!! So I will take a note from my inspirational blogger, Bootichie, and get back on the ball!


**No Er, by the way, we couldn't wait to get rid of that half dead bugger! He was out of the front window the day Jan. 2nd!!**

Lanky Hank

This is Hank.
This years tree looked so skinny and so very tall compared to all his relatives in the tree store. (Hence, the name Hanky the Lanky tree!!)
So we chose him.
Upon him arriving upstairs we couldn't help but notice how large he was all around.
Is it just a small living room? Or is it a huge tree? You be the judge....

I AM A GREEN BELT!!!

Another step up the "belt" ladder! I am officially a green belt! I passed a grueling, exhausting 4 1/2 hour test on Sunday. All of my hard work and practice did pay off. We did basics (punches, kicks, blocks, etc.), forms, take downs, and board breaking.

My sobumnim's patience is unreal. I could not have done it without him! He is such an inspiration. He is so powerful and influential. It also would not have been possible with out my "coach" who put in more time and effort than anyone ever has for me. She is so motivating and I aspire to be like her one day. I am so thankful for my fellow students who are encouraging and beyond helpful.

I love this feeling of achievement and cannot wait to continue on this journey. I am beyond enthused about furthering my knowledge and training.

Hayley Elizabeth

A visit with the cutest baby around has taken place...far overdue as well. 4 months is too long!!
She is such an amazing baby!!! She's so happy, she is getting a dimple and becoming tickilish! She is starting to "babble", too!!
She loves me and I can't wait for my good friends Denise and Carl to take a night out for themselves so I can babysit her and get her all to myself!!!

Officially Fall

Welcome Fall...

It feels like forever that we have had a legitimate four seasons. It is either too cold too fast, skipping over Fall. Too hot without the mysterious days of Spring.

So with this I welcome a full Fall. The rain. Cool nights and pleasant days. The changing of the leaves. Long sleeve tee shirts. Halloween. Colorful leaves fluttering to the ground. Squirrels scuttering about gathering nuts. Crunching on leaves while running. Pumpkins. Apple picking. The smell of fireplaces burning. Crisp breezes.

Bethany Beach

I live for the thought that I can stay in a place that is surrealistic... it suits me. I don't like real life. I don't want to come back down from that vacation high. I soaked up plenty of 'Ions' while I was oceanside for those spectacular 4 days. Hopefully they will last for longer than a week.
Times were great while they lasted.
The annual trip to Bethany Beach Delaware gets better every year.
We have our regular watering holes. We have our regular eatery's and customs.
I can't wait until we head back...

Good Times

Good times were had on my last day of vacation, Monday, July 10th.
It was the way to end a good 10 days of frolicking.
My mom, Bryan and I headed to Sandy Hook.
It was like old times. It amazes me how certain people, when together, can just fall back in place like no time has passed at all.
Time had passed, and plenty of it.
In fact far too long....I don't ever want to let that happen again.
Sure the results weren't so great, Bryan and I both wound up a pair of lobsters but in my opinion, a small price to pay for a good time.

My Hero

My Hero = My Mom
Just a week and a half after her double hip replacement surgery and beyond well on her way to recovery! She is amazing! We spent 1/2 of our Memorial Day weekend out in PA, having BBQ's, watching movies and even gardening. Well I gardened for her, but she did approve my green thumb (it's back HOPEFULLY!).
She will be moving w/out crutches in 2 and a half weeks! IT IS UNREAL! She is truly the stongest person I know.

ORANGE BELT!!

I was officially an ORANGE BELT on April 2nd, 2006!! A friend did the pictures, so I couldn't be choosey as far as the length of time to get them! I couldn't wait to see myself in action!!

It isn't often that I am proud of myself to this extreme, so I couldn't wait to share it! What a great feeling!

I am ready for more! I can not wait to continue training as far as I can possibly go!

Then who knows what other training I will pursue?!! The world is my oyster!

Easter Eve-Dying Some Eggs

Yeah we do, we still dye easter eggs...and every year it gets funnier and funnier!
Always a good time.
Some people may say it isn't something adults should do, but who defines these such age limits?
